Beautiful rig! I am familiar somewhat with the x700 series, but please enlighten me to the x740.....2wd/4wd, iTorque/Diesel?

I'm also curious about the grill guard, I thought Deere guards were black.

Must be the sunlight but the grill guard is black.The X740 is 2 wheel drive,with 24 hp yanmar diesel engine & drive over deck.These are the options I bought,7 iron deck,brush guard,susp. seat,3 point hitch,front fenders,rim guard(rear tires 88.5 lbs) and chrome wheel covers.coobie

FWIW, if you later decide to add the 540 rear pto that is a quick install and easy to do at home.

No, the "Deck Wheels" are in mowing position. A common mistake is to lower them to drag on the ground while mowing. They are supposed to be adjusted to only touch the ground to prevent scalping.

The 60 inch 7 Iron deck is a great mower,, but at 60 inches leveling it is very important.

I have exactly the same setup except mine is a X748 4WD
