No, I was typing. You got to give me a minute. I'm not fast at this.

You ''copped'' out, you waited a long time to reply aftere it was posted that you haven't been seen since 8/3 and then you say you and your company for financial reasons went to China because apparently you couldn't keep costs low enough here in USA.

Well, where I live, unemployment is above 20%, actually around 16-18 officially, but then you add in those long-term unemployed and we are at well above 20%, maybe 25%. I promise you, you could have located your plant in our county and you could have not only gotten an excellent work force, but a bunch of tax/investment incentives and also be treated like royalty.

Y'all getting that in China?

So far the quality has been strong since the initial release of the new units a few months ago. If the unit isn't holding for some reason, it usually can be traced to a fluid level issue. Terribly sorry for the problem but we will get you taken care of. Again, should you prefer a US made unit, they can be purchased at Surplus Center right now. https://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.asp?catname=&byKeyword=yes&search=hydraulink
However, I can tell you that both of our manufacturers meet the same standards of quality and craftsmanship that we demand.

If you have any questions, feel free to call us anytime. We are thankful for your business.

Sadly, times are hard all over. You should know that we don't have a plant at all. We've not built one or anything like that. We contracted out our manufacturing by partnering with other companies. One of which is in Nebraska, the other is in Kansas City. The latter company has a plant overseas that builds their rams for them. The former builds them here in the US.

The decision to take on a second manufacturer was not taken lightly. We have a business with employees and investors that depend on the company to make good decisions to keep the company profitable. Otherwise, we too would be unemployed. We have to stay competitive in the market we're in.

If you read the early parts of this thread, you'll find a good number of TBN-ers saying that HydrauLink was too expensive and they weren't alone. We had to make a change in order to succeed.

That's best way I know to explain it. I hope it helps.

Well, at least you explained your position. So, by moving mfg to China, what will that do to your retail price for a Cat 2 Hydraulink? Agri-Supply has it for $239.00, and that's a tad too much for me to spend on a ''luxury.''

I live in Kansas City. I would be very proud to not only buy an American Made product, but a product of my community. Are there any local contacts?

Thank you for your support. Our Kansas City manufacturer does not have a retail outlet there. They only sell to dealers and distributors. However, there are several options available to you:
1. Pick an online dealer at HydrauLink Sales
2. Closest US-made dealer is Surplus Center https://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.asp?catname=&byKeyword=yes&search=hydraulink
3. Or find a local Tractor Supply. They will either have it in-stock or can order it for you.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain. The prices you find right now for the category II units are exclusively from our Kansas City manufacturer. Our other manufacturer has not built any category II units yet. With that said, the $239 price you are seeing is from one of our best dealers with excellent customer service. We as a policy avoid directing customers to specific dealers unless you are looking for one in your area. However, I can suggest that you check our online dealers at HydrauLink Sales. Their prices do vary.

So, any updates on the SCUT version, and where it would be sourced from when/if it comes to market? Also the approximate price if that's known.
