I've read all of the threads here pertaining to weaponry on board a tractor-loaded, unloaded, private property, game wardens discovering a loaded chamber, steel shot vs. lead, etc, on and on.
Here's my design take on a legal short barreled 12 gauge shotgun scabbard enclosure that I have built so far-the design took months of measurement placement and planning and also being a snot nosed non-welder I enrolled in an adult evening welding class-eighteen weeks, three hours, one day a week for $100.00 including steel-so here it is to date. The bands are 1/4", the backbone is 3/8" and the shot shell tubes are 1" diameter gas pipe.
I will follow up with photos as it comes together, painted and mounted on my tractor.
