GC 2610 w/ sticky reverse pedal....

My GC has roughly 90 hours on it and lately the reverse pedal sticks and stays in position until i remedy the situation with my foot by pressing the forward pedal. No biggie, but once in a while i take my foot off expecting it to return to the neutral position and it keeps going (wasn't too funny when the wife tried to move it and almost took out a lawn chair). Weird thing is that it doesn't do it the opposite way.

My question is this; is there any adjustment or major lubrication i should be doing to the linkages? I have sprayed the linkages with some lubricating oil and it still sticks.

At the risk of the obvious, you have greased the zerk at the pivot, under the pedals, correct?

Yep, lubed everything possible.....only sticks when using reverse for more than a brief moment.

Could be a spring tension adjustment.

Check with the dealer if there is a service bulletin for the problem. There is one for the 23xx and I do not know if it covers 24xx,26xx.
