Thanks for all the welcomes!
The tractor does come with a skid steer QA, and I'll look for those names in boxblades. I think I've found a used bale spear on line but they aren't sure of which quick attach system it is. I found the specs for the skid steer QA so I might go look at it with my tape measure. I'm looking for a snowblower too, any reason not to get a 7' one? I assume with the hst I can always go slower easily for a heavy snow and a bit faster for a light snow? We never seem to get big dumps here and my driveway doesn't drift in.

I think your tractor will handle a 6.5 or 7' blower fine. 6.5 is probably better suited for it but I can't see how 7' might be too much.

I have a 7ft blower on a DK 40 HST with turf tires that are filled no problem what so ever ENJOY

Welcome to the pack.

The Dk40 is a great tractor. 250 hours on mine.

I use a 74 inch Pronovost blower on the rear and it works awesome.

Enjoy your new tractor.

Good to hear from happy DK40 owners (I only drove a 45 before ordering the 40) and good to hear a 7' blower will be fine. Make shopping for used ones much easier when a couple difference sizes will work.

Hey Ian (neighbour)
Congrats on pulling the trigger.

I have Meteor Snowblower 75" and the DK 45 hardly knows it is there. Made by the Martin Company near St Jacobs, it is robust, simple, easy to work on and reliable. If you can find one of these you won't go wrong.

I also have a bale spear - just the spear - not mounted on any frame. Total length about 4 1/2 feet. I would sell it if you might be interested,

Bob

Thanks Bob, I think I've found a spear(I guess technically a fork with 2 points) nearby. It seems to be almost half way to a pallet fork with ~3' points that are very thick near the base so it might be good for logs and perhaps lightly loaded pallets? I'll have to see what its made of when I go to look at it. A multi function fork seems like a good idea in theory at least.

My dealer thst sold me a dk45 hst said a 7' gear drive snowblower is too large for my dk45, but a 72-74 would work great.

I guess it depends on what your average snow storm is like? 90% of the time I think we get 6" or less at once. So wider shouldn't be a problem. If we got 1 and 2' dumps then I can see 6' would be better.

I've got a DK-40 with about 200 hours on it with the standard bucket on the 401 loader. That is what I recommend going with. It has more storage volume than the one on my prior DK-35, and the loader's lift capacity is AWESOME. You can get a reinforcing double-edged edge hat bolts onto the bucket with six bolts from Kioti. It keeps the bucket's factory edge from being worm prematurely, and since it is reversible and bolts on it is easy to flip when needed. My bucket edge was wearing at the corners, and was pointed out by one of my local Kioti mechanics.
I use a Tuffline boxblade and like it a lot. I think it is a 72". I've got a set of pallet forks, by Woods, under one of their other names, and a few Igland pieces, which are great.
Your 40 will be your best piece of machinery ever!
Enjoy and welcome too!

II, if you do a lot of boxing, why no Hyd side link? My side link is indispensable when ditching or maintaining a crown on my gravel driveway. What ever you get make sure the joysticks have no dentent balls in them. My top link does not, the side link did & I still need to take the dang thing apart & get rid of the detents because they cause the lever to lock all the way in or out, which overloads the IP and can burn it out.
