Got the counters in place tonight:) They look great. Big thanks to my brother in law Rick, and friend Chad for helping with the muscle (could not have done it without them). Almost no pin-holes this time, vibrating is the key i think. Everything fit perfect, i'll have to shim a little to get everything perfectly level, but that was expected. Sorry there's no pics, but it got dark on us (tomorrow i'll post some). One more pour (the backsplash) and i'm done with the counters. I'm really happy how they turned-out so far. I prob. will pour them for my indoor kitchen as well.

Here's some pics of the counters in place. I set the big sink in just to see if it fit (was worried about it). No pin-holes in the tops, but there are some in the sides, i prob. should have vibrated the sides better.

I used construction adhesive to hold them in place. I really don't think i need anything, they are so heavy i think they would just sit there on their own.

Got the last four molds made and siliconed, ran out of rebar, i'll have to get some tomorrow. The worse part of making the molds is taping for the silicone. Hopefully i'll get the last of the molds poured tomorrow, and start sanding on the other tops. I have seven bags of mix left, should be more than enough, including the slurry. Hopefully i'll get the tops done and sealed before the weather turns cold.

We picked out the tile for the backsplash. I've never laid tile before, should be interesting.

One more question: What kind of grill did you get? Looks pretty nice, but you may want to consider using metal framing around it. Just a suggestion, they get pretty hot.

Thinking about using flashing to cover the wood around the grill and burners, don't know if that will work or not. ???
