Looking for some work boots or steel toe shoes to tractor and work in. What are your favorite tractor shoes? Right now I just tractor in walking shoes but I don't think that is really safe. I know I should get some steel toe shoes. Looking at these, anyone have experience with this brand.

My middle daughter got a pair of Danner boots when she was working at the Corps of Engineers. She really liked them so when Costco had some Danner boots locally, my wife got me a pair. I wear them whenever I can, they keep my feet dry, are not too hot in the summer and I'll find out how they do in the winter this year.

My feet do not hurt after wearing them all day like some of my other shoes. I wear inserts to help with the heel/foot problems and the Danners just work well for me.

Any old leather boot when generally working outside, tractor or not. Steel toes when using a chainsaw. I'm pretty hard on shoes and tend to go through them quick, so tend not to want to invest huge amounts of money on them.

I have two pairs of boots that are broke in and very comfortable plus the fact that they support my arch. One is Browning and the other is Red Wing.:tractor:

Get yourself some real work boots, that go above the ankle. You will never regret it. Money well spent.

The ankle high act like a funnel and feed dirt & crap in.

Winter or Summer (Often 110+ around here.). Same goes for real work pants (Levi type - canvas ) and long sleeve shirts. No real skin left on my arms, sun burnt it off years ago. A minor bump is all it takes to bruise or bleed.

My 3 cents.:)

Goodhue insulated. Warm in winter and cool in summer. They are like a pair of slippers. Not cheap though. I've had mine for 12 years with many years left!

Red Wing Big Toe with a composite toe. The composite toe, is nice, all the safety of the steel toe, but much lighter.

Agreed... Gone to all composite toes on my new ones. Wear a Wellington style in the summer (non-skid sole) and then either Wellies or a lace-up in the winter with a more aggressive lug.

I've dealt with these folks before, had good luck with them in the past. Danner and Matterhorn's are GI favorites, lot of bang for the buck. Alot also depends on how often you are going to wear them? If it's weekend's only, like me, then maybe a $50-60 pair will work for you? Everyday, 10-12 hours a day, buy you a $100+ pair of boots. Your tootsies, at the end of the day, will thank you! ;)
