My FEL came in very handy today to free a hung-up white oak tree I had been cutting down! Dangerous, yeah . . . a little. But I was 99% sure which way it would fall.

Well, after reading all the above, I decided to just throw my loader away. LOL!!

Although, I do remember someone saying to me many years ago, "The fastest way to ruin a perfectly good tractor is to put a dang loader on it."

We've got guys around here that are tough on equipment. Heck, they'll break and anvil.

Charlie

Sounds like my younger brother in fact my older brother too, lol. My younger brother was having trouble putting a self tapping screw in some venting so just pushed harder, when I went over to see why my drill was smoking I noticed he had it on reverse. My older brother wanted to help out with cutting the lawn, God Bless him, and when he said that the deck was not cutting even I noticed the control arms on one side were broke off from the rocks he was mowing, lol, I should have twigged when he was out in the field with a crowbar picking rocks.

I thought the saying was, "What is the last thing a red neck says before dying, "Hey y'all watch this!"

I am sure though that both my brothers would have many more stories about my abuse of the anvil.

When using your bucket as a bath tub make sure you-
1. Dump the dirt out
2. Park with the bucket facing away from the road.
I won't say how I learned these tips. :)

Hot tub time!

I don't know why you would carry your chainsaw in the bucket when it fits so nicely in the chipper hopper....
Dumped my chainsaw on the burn pile the other day but was lucky because the pile was not burning.

were you at the party after my wedding too?, the loader was very handy as a beer cooler and as a backdrop for photos!

Except for the digging 'warning', I'm in on all the rest of the cautions. One I have not seen is using it for a 'human' lift. It is so tempting to use it to access something 'up there' rather than take the trouble to get an adequate ladder or set up scaffolding.:confused2:

I have to admit I've used my loader for simple things and rough things. Digging, as a scaffold, replacing my old porch. Even helped a friend move a 1 car garage so we could pour a new footer and slab.(That took help from the backhoe attachment though to lift both ends). So far nothing leaks and I haven't broken anything. My bigest suggestion would be to pay attention to what you are doing and listen to your tractor. If it starts to sound angry... STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!

It's similar to having your wife help you with a project. If you keep her happy, she'll keep working. If you push her to far, Your on your own!
