Technically it should work. I think Mark said the PA200 puts out 70-OCVs. The LN-25 can accept 72-OCVs. You'd have to run the LN-25 on the VV mode, and you'd be stuck with fluxcore wires only. Personally I wouldn't do it, but if I had to I wouldn't use anything bigger than .045 wire. The reason I say I wouldn't do it, is because I have better machines suited for wire feed work.
Maybe Mark can help here if I missed something.

deereman75 I was wrong about the LN-25 accepting 72-OCVs. Thats what latest version of the old LN-22 could take, the LN-25s can take up to 110-OCVs.

Ok I probably never will do that, I was just wondering if you had done it. Now that I think about it, how much do used ln 25s run?

Oh wow, that's a hard question to answer! Too many variables.
I've seen just the bare feeder go in the low 200s, but that doesn't mean they even worked, or worked well.
I paid $750.00 FOB my front porch for a gray model, with 3-guns. 2-Mig guns, and a Lincoln K-126 Innershield gun. Complete set of drives rolls, and guide tubes. And a set of pie pans for the 14-pound rolls of Innershield.
If you buy one try to buy the gray model, or the very early black model. Remember they don't all come with a contactor kit, or gas solenoid kit, so be careful!;)

Hmm it seems ebay isnt the best place to look. I am seeing black ones without a gun going for $700+...

Yeah, pricing on LN-25s are all over the place! Some people are just nuts with their asking price.

Put Lincoln LN-25 into your saved searches on ebay, that way you'll get an e-mail every time an LN-25 is listed.

Mark, I am looking to add a stick welder and plasma cutter to my work shop for my upcoming loader/backhoe project and I have a couple questions. I am also pretty new to sticking metal together so ease of use and my shop is small (17wx28L) so space is an issue that's why I am interested in the 3 in 1 unit's as well as the portability of them. I am on a limited budget as well; I just want to make sure this unit is going to do everything I need it to do for quite a while before I spend any money.

1. I am looking at the MultiPro205 and I don't see max thickness listed of the material that it can weld in a single pass?

2. Is there a PDF manual for them somewhere that I can download and read? I looked on the web site but didn't see one.

3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of DC welding over AC and vice versa?

I don't recommend any combination plasma/tig/stick units. Too much going on inside. Not our best product.
Do you mean powerultra or powerpro? I don't sell them if I can help it.

If you want a stick and a plasma cutter, I can make you a price on it, if you call me.

Agree with Mark about the multi-units. It is refreshing to see his comment since he sells them, too. Really an up-front evaluation.

I went with the separate units, PowerArc 200 and the PowerPlasma 70, and couldn't be happier. With the heavy metal and cutting needed to be done on a backhoe it would be best to buy something a bit bigger than "necessary". As us tractor folks know, you never have too much power.

With a little bargaining you may be able to get the separate units for less than a multi. And the inverters are so small that they take up very little space.
