Hey guys I seemed to have developed a fuel leak on my 08 Jinma 254. It is around a fitting or line coming out of the injection pump. I am not very familiar with diesel injection systems but I have heard some horror stories about pump priming. If I remove a line to find the leak and repair it are there any special tips I need to know about before or after reassembly?

Is it one of the steel lines that goes to the injectors, or a rubber type primary fuel hose?

I can't tell for sure where it's coming from but it looks like one of the steel lines going to the injectors is where it's at..

Okay I'll replace it, but are there any pump priming issues or anything I need to know about if I take the line off?

Nope. Just make sure everything is super clean. The priming will take care of itself within a few seconds.

Assuming you're only replacing one hard line, the engine should start on the other cylinders. It will run rough briefly as fuel pushes air out of your new line. If you want to accelerate the process, don't tighten the top hex collar all the way down at first. That will permit the air in the new line to escape faster. As soon as you see the bubbles turn into raw fuel, THEN finish tightening the top hex collar.

As far as the replacement line, check here. Each line is has a different part number, so you'll have to be specific when you order a replacement.
