The 340 is a decent low end saw,
I dont think I would go quite that far.
All though it may be just a tad better than the 136

Dont know what his intentions were, maybe he'll come back and clarify but he did say this "Every one is just like the others with a little special plastic, and a different name."
The opinion that theyre all the same, so your a sucker if you pay more" is a sentiment thats shared by many, if it wasnt Harbor Freight wouldnt exist:laughing: . Its not the case as most know. You usually get what you pay for.
Now, i bought a reconditioned wild thing a few years back. It was an excellent cheap saw. It was cheap, and it ran good for a little while, but it was cheap.
. If one has a steel shroud, and one has plastic, then we have something to go on.
Thats the problem with them They are disposable saws because it costs more in parts and frustration than the saw cost in the first place. Cheap is relative .
Well, I found a decent price for a new Husqvarna 450 on Amazon. I took the price to my John Deere dealer and he beat it buy one dollar and threw in a soft carrying case, wrench, hat, and a bottle of oil. The tag on the 450 says made in Sweden.
BTW, he told me he was clearing out his Husky line because John Deere bought Stihl. He would soon be a Stihl dealer.
I dont think JD bought stihl. But JD has partnered with stihl to make their handhelds. Its been that way for at least a year up here. There is a whole "Sthil" section in the store
