HELP! - What animal track is this!

I had a 95 pound Redbone Coonhound whose tracks looked just like that. Since he would only bark if he was on a coon track, I had to follow his tracks many times to find him. When running, his tracks would look larger.

Your close ... but to the trained eye that track is from a 6 yr old Treeing Walker Coon dog. By the right side of the track I would say an ancestor of House's Tom Tom ... possibly Knob Creek Lead. The left side of the track indicates when the hound was just 2 he tangled with bob cat and suffered injury. Your on the money with the collar with the exception being there is a copper owners tag on that collar.

BR, On closer inspection with a jewel eye piece, I was able to "read the fine PRINT" I was wrong it is a 2009 model:laughing:

Yes sir, them fellers are allot bigger than people think. Come to think about it, my uncle had 2 when I was like 6, he used them also for coons. They where like a horse for us kids too.

Hound season just opened for deer this weekend in Eastern VA.

I bet there are hunt clubs close to you, dogs can't read, there owners know that.

My favorite coon dog was an old Bluetick named Blue. That ol boy could tree a coon and call him by name!

I 've got a 105 lb . pointer mix that could easily make the same prints complete with the long claws . Fortunately for me, even though I only out weigh by 30 lbs ., he is a docile creature . Dumb dog actually believes I 'm the Alpha one .
