I don't think it melted Boone. It was outside a Diary Queen in Raton, New Mexico around spring break. It was cold outside, so I think it survived me and my daughter stealing a lick or two for photos. I would post Rebecca's photo, but can't find it.

I had to laugh in the one photo of Luke layin up there on the barn roof. In the US Navy when we went out on the weather decks to get some sun, we called it "steel beach." That's what I thought when I saw Luke, he's gettin' some sun on steel beach.

Luke got enough of that on the Frigate USS Ingraham, while in the Persian Gulf inspecting shipping. Here is a closeup.

Here are a few more photos. I installed the door knob (the lever type) and deadbolt. I bought the best Lowes had in stock.

First photo shows the whole barn and the shop I am replacing. I built the shop in 1983 and moved it onto this property. It was built on concrete, but I put it on railroad ties as posts and non treated 2x6s. Now the sill plate boards are getting rotten, thus my rush to get the barn lockable. I plan on tearing down the shop and thinking about taking the hip roof and scaling it down for a dog house for Bogger.

2nd photos shows the Big RED Beast's parking spot with the white siding above it.

Third photo shows the plain white back door. I haven't decided if I want to put anything on it. The corner white trim still needs to be installed here.

The last photo shows the barn overall.
