Comparison Kubota 7040 or New Holland 4030

Another vote for Kubota. My neighbor just got a 7040DTC and it is a sweetheart. A little light so get weights now rather than later. Great loader and very rugged. The engine runs like a Swiss watch.
I have owned an M8950, among other Kubotas, and it was an equally fine tractor that used so little fuel I thought the gauge was bad.
Just my two cents.

if you put the fel on it thatll be enough weight.

You forgot the loaded tires, and wheel weights. That should be enough weight to keep the loader off the ground:D.

On my neighbor's 7040DTC, cast rear wheels with one weight each side felt good. Two weights each side would probably feel better.

Wow... Thanks for all the input!
I think I'm sold on the Kubota, I'm quite certain it will do what I need it to.

Thanks again... I'll keep you posted!

I bought a 7040 a year ago and I love it. It's been Aces all the way and has done everything I've asked it to without a squawk. Bought it from Farm Country in Sulphur Springs, and it was a pleasure doing business with them.

Dealer suggests euro style FEL and says ez to add adapter... Any suggestions..?
I see most attachments as skid steer style.. Are there any advantages to either?
I will require several attachments for it incl. forks and grapple as well as standard bucket.

My friend got the Euro style loader brackets with a bucket and loves it. Skid steer stuff goes right on.
He did not get a"self leveling" loader but I have one on my Deere 5520 and love it. Most guys do but a few don't. Check it out.
Also, he and I both have cast rear wheel centers and I would get those rather than steel for the weight reasons. In addition, I would get four rear wheel weights total and have the dealer put them on. Weight is good and if you don't like it, take one off. I never knew anyone that got rear weights and ever took any of them off. I have a photo of my Deere setup if you want to see.
See if you can get a price deal on all your filters for the first change, which is important. There are two hyd filters and you will see a lot of small dust metal filings on the magnets when you change them. Kubotas are machined close and the first change of everything is important.
