Mike I know you are more concerned with getting her home now, but some time in the future, this is a mod you may consider. I did this about a year and a half ago, and really like the extra traction, especially in the winter getting on and off with snow covered boots. Also solves the paint wearing off eventually problem. It is just do it yourself bed liner material..It has stood up well. Also wonder if you ever work any HF?

Hey all, quick update.
I spoke to Kubota and they said that all I need to do is pay the seller directly. He is 100% on hook for the lein, and that by giving me a bill of sale (transfer) indemnifies me if he doesn't pay off the loan.

A Rhino Liner dealer has different colors available, probably other truck liner companies as well. Colors cost extra when compared to the basic black. I had my deck and step done by a local Rhino dealer in black, it was about $75. It is holding up well so far and is not nearly as slick as the metal.
