The trailer is a 14K GVWR. It's 18.5' tilt + 4' fixed. I spec'd Dexter easy-lube axles and added the spare tire, 10K drop leg jack, LED lights, 16 5K D-Rings, and the fork pockets.
Cost = $7K
I chain the forks to D-Rings or Stake Pockets. You can see it in looped through the forks in the attached pictures in the original thread.
I plan to keep this trailer until I no longer am able or need to use it, so I avoid towing it in the winter. The amount of salt they use here in metro Detroit tends to eat anything metal.
The trailer is a wood deck and I have loaded in heavy rain without any issue. I typically have the tractor in 4WD when I am loading to prevent any surprises which I am sure helps. The rear 2 ft is diamond plate which is slick as ice when it is wet.
