Well I guess I just joined the club of the few if not many who've had their injector pump go "south"! Was running fine while doing a 'tilling job, finished, shut it down and was chatting with customer in regards to how great the tractor has been (little to no problems). He asked if I had time to do a couple of other little things for him before I go, so I turned the key, cranked for a little bit......started then died! sounded like no fuel? (embarrassing). Spent a good half hour trying to get it to fire, checked filter, bled injector lines, etc. Finally got it fired up at about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle, would not idle, got it out of the field and onto the trailer and home.

Spent several hours trying to find the problem.....still hasn't started since that day, so it looks looks like the pump is shot!

That sucks;every time I fire mine up, I hold my breath. Seems to me there are way too many Kioti injection pumps sh!$$!^& the bed

What year machine do you have?
I'm curious if certain year/years machines are having the fuel pump issues.
Any others that had this problem can you tell the year of your tractor.

Sorry to hear this Wine country neighbor :thumbsup:, my tractor is a CK25 2007 and the injector pump bit the dust at 200 hours. Luck for me it was covered under warranty still. The dealer is Sebastopol told me to run a fuel additive for California diesel, which I have done for the last 200 hours and have had no problems other a blown head gasket

what is the difference between Kalifornia diesel and other states diesel????

The mechanic told me that the california diesel has less lubricants in it to meet California emissions for clean burning fuel. Not sure if other states have the same emissions standards.

Dirt hauler- are you getting good flow to the injector pump itself?
Normally when the injector pump goes they either don't fire up, or run wide open, passed governor.
Might be a bad lift pump.

The feds mandated Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) for use in ALL highway vehicles a while back (2006 ??) so the fuel in all 50 states SHOULD be the same if the plan and implementation is being carried out as intended ..... see this TDIClub Forums - View Single Post - Addative Study and this New S15 (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel -ULSD) Regulations for more info. I was told by several fuel distributors here in Western Colo. that the dyed off-road fuel is the same ULSD but with dye added ..... YIKES!!! I use SCHAEffER'S Diesel Treat 2000 in all of my diesels and am keeping my fingers crossed!
