Regardless of part numbers and open station or not; if one takes a t-stat and drops it in 185+ degree water you will see if the stat in use is opening all the way or just partially. If partially then it is not working properly. Replace with an OEM or aftermarket to the same rating as original.

Gotta be stuck open cause I can't even get it up to operating temp anymore.
You would think that that big ol 8 foot snow pusher and the 3-4 inches of snow we got last night would warn it up. Service guy is coming to my shop tomorrow so gonna have heat and defrosted windows soon!!

New T-stat in today with great results. Never seen the temp gauge up to where it is now. Seems it had the wrong one in it from the get go.
In think it said 74 degrees on the existing one.

You should see lower fuel consumption too now. Diesels don't like to run cold.
