Almost looks like a leaf blower but it goes by so fast! Can't hardly get a good look at it!

At least no one was injured. As others have commented, it appears that the possibility remains that this was staged. Why would anyone purposely film a skid steer dumping a solitary palm tree? It is not my intention to be judgmental, but if I had just tipped over that equipment, I would have been a tad more aggravated. Even if the Kubota did or didn't utilize any ballast on the rear, it did a decent job of uprighting that skid steer. Just my thoughts. I will conclude by saying: "Just when you thought that you have seen everything"?:)

Oh come on..no one staged that. Ive run alot of skid steers over the years, and unless you are familiar with the foot controls on those things, its real easy to lose the ability to release the grapple in the 2 seconds it took to go over. You can see the tractor hopping before it went over and the operator simply didn't have the experience to drop/roll the load out of the bucket.

Whats amazing is that these skid steers stay upright at all....

Why would someone put the possibility of damaging a $40,000 machine for the sole purpose to try and trick someone for what reason? The guy is in the business to sell these attachments and is actually counter intuitive that he puts that up there as some may say that his grapple weighs too much and can tip. There is NO reason for him to stage that. And to answer your question about anyone purposefully filming a skid steer dumping a solitary palm tree... maybe it's because he wants to show his potential customers how able his machine is and that it indeed can lift a palm tree and move it...

I previously stated in my post that it was not my intention to be judgmental. I questioned the validity solely by utilizing deductive reasoning after viewing the video. Perhaps I was mistaken. Certainly did not mean to step on anyone's toes.

I don't think it was staged, it was a dangerous violent tip. could of resulted in a broken neck.

No one would intentionally go into that hole, with out thinking the machine wouldn't end up upside down.

As mentioned, if he released the log and repositioned the grapple it may of righted itself. Don't want to keep it running in that position to long of course.

Again the skid steers that i have run are not operated like conventional tractor. The bucket raise and dump are foot lever controlled, and the grapple control is usually a flip over lever next to the foot lever. I'm not sure how this particular grapple is operated, but the ones Ive used , if the lever flips back out of the way, you cant release the grapple until you use your toe to reflip it back where it belongs. This gets to be second nature, but is quite confusing in the beginning.

Skid steers can be confusing to run. My first time using one, I dumped a bucket of horse manure on the roof. Pushed the pedel the wrong way.... :ashamed::laughing::thumbsup:
