Where can I find a used backhoe attachment?

Anyone know where I can find a used Woods BH70-X or the Massey Ferguson 1570 backhoe attachment. I've looked at the usual suspects... tractorhouse, fastline, machine trader, etc. A used Massey Furgeson 1570 backhoe attachment at a Massey Ferguson dealer would be awesome! My tractor is a Massey Ferguson 1529 and I'll mount it on a sub-frame.

He's right. I've been looking for years. The only one I know of is priced at $7000. He's had it a while, and he can keep it.

You could put a free "wanted" ad on craigslist. You might also put an ad in the "farm and garden" section (of craigslist).

You can select how wide of an area that you advertise in (depending on how far you want to drive to pick it up).

Consistent and patient Ebay watching will produce BH70X at varying prices over time. There's a new red one w/o mounts currently listed for $4850 which I suspect is quite a bit less than MSRP. People often shy away from buying items at a good price but cross country but I've had good luck with shipping large items pretty reasonably and still getting a great deal overall.

I saw an ad on craigs list Kansas City for a hoe attachment
Not sure how big but it was around 5000 for the hoe and sub frame.
It came off a New Holland I think.

I went through this also. I wanted a Taylor Way unit. Its built in PA and has nice Italian valves with all US hose fittings and cylinders. I looked for ever. At the time, about 5 years ago, I could drive 4.5 hours each way to the factory and get a new one for $4200. I could get it locally for $4800.

A friend told me about one at a auction. I went the day before and looked it over. It was beat up pretty good so I was willing to go $2000 on it. The first 30 seconds of the auction it went from $100 to $2500 and finally sold for $3850. I could not believe how stupid people were to pay that for a 10 year old beat to death unit.

Have to agree with what's been said..they are very hard to find. When you do find them used they are often beat to death, incomplete, or almost the same price as new

I ended up trading a tractor I only had for 2 -1/2 months on a newer used tractor with a BH because it was cheaper than putting a hoe on mine....
