Where can I find a used backhoe attachment?

As anyone who sees my posts can figure out, I'm a huge fan of Ebay and I have gotten some truly unbelievable deals through the years. I believe the best deals on backhoes seems to be the skidsteer models. I regularly see clean used models from Bobcat, Bradco, Gehl, etc sell for $2500 or less there. Yes, there are some ragged units but I have seen several nearly new models sell recently in this price range for example. You would have to do the conversion to 3 point or subframe but for the low hoe price, I think it's worth looking at for some of the more handy TBN members interested in a hoe.

I have often thought of the same thing. Problem is lots of the Skid Steer units do not have full function. They use some of the Skid Steers mechanics to perform tasks. Just have to know what you are buying.

I saw a 3pt super Long backhoe on craiglist (New orleans) today for 2200
Don't know if that is of any interest to you. I regularly check craigs list and this is the first 3pt backhoe I have seen in a year.

I have a 3 point backhoe tomcat 650 for sale. I bought new tractor with a frame mount backhoe so i have no use for it. if anyone interested

I am in NC,I had it on a 2615 mahindra and it was hooked to a hyd remote.It is about 2 years old. I have no pic but will try and get some soon.

Someone mentioned converting to a sub frame unit, how would you do something like that? I have found several 3pt backhoes and really don't think I want to have all that weight on the 3ph arms it can't be good for them.

I watched on Ebay for several years and finally won the bid for a Taylor Way for a little over $2500. I had to drive 5 hours to pick it up but it was worth it. A doctor owned it and he was moving so he was selling everything. I have it on the 3 point hitch of a 40 hp Branson and have had no trouble at all. I know all the warnings about 3 point hitches so I don't plan on pulling out trees with it. I would like to find a 9 or 10 inch bucket for it but so far I'm having no luck. It is a great little backhoe.

I looked for couple years and finally posted a wanted ad in craigslist, farm and garden.
A few days later I got a reply from a kid who's grandfather was selling his Woods with a subframe that was on the same make/model tractor. I called the gentleman the next day and we knew each other! Small world.
I paid $2600 for a unit that is in good shape and works well, he even kept the seat inside so the squirles wouldnt chew it.. Sometimes you just get lucky!:thumbsup:
