Quick Connects Leaking

I replaced the O ring in each of my 4 loader disconnects. I made sure to put the plastic spacer ring back in like before. I am still dripping fluid it does not seem as much as before though. What is normal fluid loss? I have thought about hard plumbing sinse I never remove the loader anyway. Oh the NH dealer had no listing in the parts manual for the rings. We had to mach them up. This leads me to belive they want you to replace the whle connecter anyway. Any Thoughts?

Find out who is the manufacturer of the QC and get the O-rings from them. Your local hydraulic shop should have the correct one too.

Sometimes the male tips get corroded and pitted where the oring in the female coupler seals. Even the proper o-rings won't fix that.

Even the male ends arent cheap from NH. I had the occasion to break one off when the front tire caught one of the hoses that the dealer had routed wrong. I think it was $26 each plus shipping as they didnt have one in stock, so I had them shipped next day to my house and got a spare at the same time. If the males were that high, I shudder to think what they would want for a female. I had to go with the OEM since none of the local parts places had one that would mate up as they were all too long, too short, too big or too small or wrong inlet size, but they were all much cheaper.

Normal fluid loss after properly connected is ZERO. You will loose a bit when connecting sometimes, but after the collar is set, there should be no leaks. I strongly suspect that the guy gave you too small of diameter ring. The OD may not be correct either. If you have one for an example, I would bet that NAPA would be able to match it perfectly.

I think if you were to take your QD to a good hyd shop, they will be able to match up something that will fit. If not, then it might be cheaper to replace to a more common QD

I have seen a cross reference charts from some manufactures.

You got raped, or you have a bad memory. Male tips for the loader connections on a NH CUT shouldn't be over $15. The 1/2" male tips that fit the rear remote couplers are more common and usually under $10.

I had no trouble whatsoever finding the part numbers on Messicks.com. They list the correct o-ring and backup ring with the quick connect fittings for your tractor. The o-ring PN is 122056 and the teflon backup ring is 647327. You can enter those numbers into any NH parts lookup and they will return the right parts for you. I'm sorry your dealer was less than satisfactory.

BTW: The o-ring is about $1.75 because of individual packaging and the backup ring is around $8. If the backup rings are not cut, I wouldn't worry about replacing them at those prices.

Thanks I will try these. My local Dealer is less than 5 miles from my house. I tried to trade with them in 2006 when I bought my TC. I ended up 50 miles away and 2000.00 cheaper. . I really don,t see how they survive unless for big farmers I guess. I sat at the parts counter last week while they did a search for these and came up with nothing.

Nash Equipment in Burgaw NC was the winning dealer. Frendly and matched the best price I could find at the time.
