great pics... How is your heater plumbed?

The engine had two taps one on the outlet of the water pump & one on the engine near the t-stat. There was a short 3/8" hose just looped between the two. My hater core was 1/2". So I ran 1/2"ID heater hose most of the way then switched to 3/8" near the taps on the engine. I put a small ball valve on the outlet of the heater core to regulate heat & shut off the heat for the Summer. The 1/2" was REALLY hard to get through into the engine bay. I wished I would have used 3/8" instead & switched it at the heater core.

I made it. I took a piece of 3" PVC pipe. I cut a notch in it for a cup handle to fit in & rounded the edges. Then I took a 3-1/4" hole saw & cut a disk out of some heavy gauge sheetmetal & screwed it to the bottom. I mounted it with a short piece of 3/8" threaded rod & a plumbing split ring for 3/8" black iron pipe.

We finally ACTUALLY GOT SOME SNOW TODAY!!!
So it's time for a "1st impressions" report.
It was around 24 degrees out. The snow was light & close to sleet in consistancy. The wind was blowing pretty bad. I plugged the tractor in before I went out so it was already a little warmed up when I started it. Within 10 minutes of running it was nice & warm in there. I had a unzipped jacket on & a winter hat on but no gloves, no long underwear, no insulated pants just slacks & winter boots on. Overall I stayed plenty warm. I'd say it was about 50 to 60 degrees in the cab. I did have some annoying cold drafts. One area was along the edge where the doors meet the fender. For some reason on mine I have a 1/2" to 1" gap along there. When the wind blows you can feel it blowing on your leg or hand. The other area is down where the opening is for the diff. lock & the 4wd lever. This is about the only area I didn't seal off yet. It would be fine if I dressed up better I'm sure but my pants kept hiking up so my ankles were bare with cold air blowing on them.

The homemade heater worked pretty good but I wish the fan had a tad bit more kick.
The front window stayed cleared the whole time but hte rear did not. I had to wipe it off a couple times,..not a big deal but may try to do a flat rear window with a wiper for next year. I may jsut try some RainX for this year.
Overall the cab worked well I must say.
My raido I put in isn't loud enough to hear over a motor running a 560 RPM but is sweet when you drop the throttle down some.
The cup holder worked great!
The chute rotator worked slick but like I thought it really should be a little bit faster at turning. I'll fix that for next year it's fine for now.

I'll tell ya I really felt like a King in there! Oh & the dome light I put in is really cool!! I like that most of all I think because it was only $8 & is so nice to have in there. It was pretty cool when the wind started blowing the snow from the chute right back onto the tractor cab & I was in there nice & warm + dray like "Yeah,...whatever stuipid snow"

Oh and the "Quick Fist" mounts for my shovel are junk AFAIC.
They should be called "Slow Fist" because they are a pain to try to get latched when it is cold out & you have gloves on. There's got to be a better design out there.

Nice set-up. We have had around a half-inch of snow this season which I am perfectly fine with. However, I am sure more will be coming.
