Brian, that grapple pic depicts exactly the kind of stuff I have to pick up and move.:thumbsup: What tractor & grapple is that in your photo? Nice!
BTW, there is a part of me that is thinking: "buy a used bobcat to finish the clean up and a basic tractor to maintain farm". Added together, those would undoubtedly cost more than just buying an upgraded tractor.
That is my Mahindra 7520 and the grapple is this model in the 81" version. When deciding on a grapple, most guys on TBN are convinced that you only need a 48" light weight model, and they are probably right when a guy has less than a 2500lb lift capacity. But as the tractor gets bigger, you can start using the grapple for other things other than just moving loose stuff.
One of the problems with a skid steer is ground clearance, need to keep that in mind.
cederstrand, have you ever looked at a 5035? They are a very nice tractor, I know that if I needed a tractor of that size, it would be at the top of my list of tractors to be considered.
