What 50's era car would you want to have?

Reading the thread about the 50's era cars made me really, really want one, my choice would be the 1957 Chrysler 300-C convertible.

How about you?
I can remember one of these sitting in the field at the farm where my friends family lived back in the sixties. The car had been mildly wrecked so the owner had trashed it and pulled the hemi engine....

Would give almost anything to have my 2 door '57 chevy back. Everything, even the tires original.

Just this morning I was watching some show on Speed with Dennis Gage. Guy had a Studibaker all customized running some big HP. Pretty cool.

I wish I had all the 50's cars that I owned way back when. Had all a 55, a 56 on the road and a 57 that I left behind in my friends field for lack of funds at the time or whatever. Also had a 55 or 56 sedan delivery wagon with no windows on the rear sides. Bought it for like 50 bucks with no drive train, pulled the bucket seats and sold it for what I paid...

Then there was my 55' Crown Vic (non plexiglas) with 55k miles that I swapped for a 60' Impala.

Even my first car, a 58' Mercury with the big "Y" block and 2 speed push button tranny that would see 100+ real quick would be nice to have back today.

Always liked the 'Vettes of that vintage:
1950 Corvette

Also, a cousin has a 1955 Thunderbird convertable. I got to drive it in our school's homecoming parade last year.
This is not his, but it looks like this one: 1955 Thunderbird

59 Pontiac Catalina, my first car! Kind-of a "boat" but nice ride!

Otherwise, 53- 56 Ford pickups & trucks, talk about great lines! ~~ grnspot

That one's a '58, '59 or '60... without more pictures I can't tell.

The '56 and '57 had single headlignts and a different dashboard.

The '58, '59 and '60 were pretty similar to each other, as was the '61 and '62. The '61 and '62 had the predecessor to the "mako shark" rearend, which was revised and used on the totally redesigned '63 through '67 models, while still having dual headlights like the '58-'60. The doors on the '61 were shorter, and the "scoops" on the side of the '61 were painted in contrasting colors like the one you linked. The scoops on the side of the '62 were the same color as the body, and they had a different grille...

My '62 looked like this one, though not nearly as nice as this frame-off restoration. Same engine as the fuel-injected 327 except it used two Carter 600 CFM four-barrels instead of the fuel injection...

1962 CORVETTE
