My Kioti so far

This spring I traded in my CK20HST, that I bought last year, for a CK35HST. The 20 had 290 Hours on it, plowing, skidding and splitting, but the lift capacity was wanting and I felt the extra weight would benifit my terrain. So far the 35 is a jewel,(130 Hours) however I too have broked off the lower filter, in the bush. I needed to replace the filter housing and that took me a while since the dealer is 120 K away and I wasn't prepared to pay a lot for travelling mechanics. Did I mention I'an not, repeat, not a mechanic? I picked up the part, had a long chat with a real mechanic and spent the next 3 hours under the machine. Part cost $16, Filter $49, Hydraulic Fluid $112=$199.00. Was truly heartbreaking to watch all that hydraulic pour onto the ground. My dealer does the 50 hr free! My 50 Hr (after 2 weeks) cost me $97 for materials. It took a great deal of effort to remove those lower hydraulic filters on both tractors. I would recommend having the dealer do the first one even if you have to pay as I would have not gotten the filters off by myself and I had a good lesson as well. I am so very happy with my Kioti!

Good to hear. I too love my nice Kioti. I dont chime in thats why i bought a JD, thats kind of uncalled for.

I used to own a JD.

Lets see... too expensive of a tractor. Parts were WAY too expensive and lets not get started on the Labor costs.

So far i had 2 issues with my Kioti. I live about 45 miles from the dealer i bought it from (but theres a new dealer only 20 miles away). The dealer i purcheased mine from CAME to my shop for free to fix the problem. No charge for labor or parts.

What more can you ask from any dealer

Sorry if you misunderstood, he said that his kioti dealer was a distance away from him and when he had a problem he didn't want to have to take it all the way to the dealer to get it repaired even though he wasn't very mechanical. I was saying I bought JD because they have the best dealer network in my area (there's like 4 within 35 miles). I enjoy knowing that of I have problems I have many different places to help me. I was not saying that a Kioti is bad, only their dealer network isn't as good in my area and therefore bought a Deere. When I was looking about 20 years ago I had a Kioti dealer right next to me but since they have gone out of business. Next closest is about 150 miles away.

I choose my dealer 'cause he was the nearest Kioti dealer to me and these guys hit the million dollar mark in kioti sales last year. Not bad for a family business in "Down Town" Douglas, Ontario. I'am pleased with them.

Wow that's a lot of tractors! People would have to travel a distance for someone like that.

How did you get away with only $97 for materials? Did you replace all fluids?

Bromely is installing my new comfort cab on my CK 30 as we speak. I'd been driving through "Down Town" Douglas for years 'ing over all that nice eye candy. I finally gave them a call and have been a more than satisfied customer ever since.

120KM from Douglas makes you my neighbor if it's towards Ottawa.

I'am in the other direction near Combermere. They did not change the front axel or the main hydraulic? I donno why? I'll call Jim today, should have looked at the bill!

Well, I'm still kinda your neighbor, at the cottage anyway. I was thinking you either got a great deal, or I got pooched.

Dealer proximity is way over rated.... unless you get a lemon. I've had a JD for 18 years. Dealer is 1/2 mile away. Tractors been there once in 18 years. I also have a CK25, bought in March 06. Dealer is over 250 miles away. I've had 2 warranty issues with it, each an early design flaw. Both times dealer came to me. Cost me about $125 each time in travel cost. Shoot! Just not having to load and unload it onto a trailer is worth the $125. Cost wise, I'm way ahead of where I'd been buying a Deere at several thousand dollars more. Maintenance parts are ordered by phone/internet and shipped to my door. I don't expect it to need a dealer again for a very long time. And that's the point: How often does one actually take their tractor to a dealer?
