Anyone else holding out for new 2013 Chevy/GMC truck?

Everything could have went south in the finance dept for the guy. My wife worked at the local dealership in GA before GM closed the plant there. People's wants outweigh their credit scores sometimes. This kind of stuff happens. Just another theory.

Could be....I got $2500 back from GMAC (Ally) in addition to everything else..After all of that, it worked for me...If my credit was questionable, I certainly wouldn't be fishing in these waters.

Only towed about 6,000# so far...Love the tow-haul mode. My brother has an '11Silverado and he told me about the engine braking while towing his 22 ft FourWinns, so I had warning. I live in an area where nothing is flat and I loved that feature the first time it kicked in..Believe it's tranny braking actually...Could be wrong.

The integral trailer brake took some getting used to..It's not binary (on-off) like the after market ones...It is very proportional, works great though.

I have the trailer braking but don't have brakes on my trailer. I bet it works great with the two of them

I think another good thing is they keep their resale value up. I traded a 2007 exactly like the one I have now for this 2011. It had 84,000 miles on it and they gave me $22,400 trade in. I have dealt with the sales manager for the last 25 years though. And I think your wife was right. If you like it go buy it hahah. Famous last words for some. Life is short enjoy it the best you can.

I could tell stories from the dealership where the wife worked for days. Funny stuff. Some is borderline unbelievable.:laughing: You were in the right place at the right time when you purchased your GMC.I can't believe its been a year.

I got 12,500 for my '04 GMC SLE with 100K on the clock...Sat on their lot for a week and was gone ...They wanted 15,500..Guess the value holds...I wouldn't have paid that though.

Ever use a GM credit card? I have one. Had about $1,300 in rebate on it but occasionally GM 'tops off' your rebate balance up to $2000 or so.

When I was looking, just 'coincidentally' I got a 'top off' letter and a 'private offer' from GM. Both totaled up to just over $4,000 and with the dealer discount through the fleet department I got a good deal. Then since I had a real estate brokers license I got a 'commercial package' from GM which was a tool box (has a bow tie logo), a under rail bed liner and running boards.

That package actually saved me money more than the inflated price they had on it because would have bought a ranch hand tool box and lineX'd the bed, which would have been more than the cost of their free package had I bought it.

Overall, I am real happy with what I paid. Truck is nice too.
