You need better dogs. Our dogs will take care of coons. A couple of weeks ago they even killed a coyote.

The 7 YO female Shepard mix kept her distance. My one-eyed 13 YO Jack Russell was truly impressive! Looking for an Airedale to add to the herd.

I read your thread again and noticed the "Pet Doors" insertion. I have never had Pet Doors. Is there any way to close the entrance at times?

Some do and some don't have a way to close or lock them. Our daugher and son-in-law have the kind that you can. And I know of at least two different locking mechanisms for pet doors.

I had a similar experience. Heck of a racket out on the deck from a possum. So I go out, a gazillion candlepower torch in one hand, high powered air-riffle in the other, It's 2am and 2degrees C and I'm standing there starkers.
