Rear remotes on my ck27

Some people that have float position with their rear remote valves make use of that float function. You cannot use the float position when there is a check valve on the cylinder.

You will be fine with the top link that you are looking at although it is just a tad bit short IMO.

Keep me in mind when you decide to get that side link that you will need in the near future. :thumbsup:

Well, then you had basically no bulging flex, so you had to have had air in the hydraulic. Fluid does not compress and 1/4" hydraulic lines flex very little and not enough to allow the hydraulic to compress that much. Sorry that you had problems the first time around, but all is good for you now and that is what matters.

I have no idea what float position is. Lol. Also, what type of implements are a hydraulic side link ideal for? I would need another set of remotes installed to use one.

My DK does not have a float position on the rear remotes.
I don't know about the CK models. But I doubt it has float.

As far as the longer version of the top link, a bit to long for your tractor IMO, I would use the shorter one of those two, but that may just be me. Need to consider what implements you will be using.

A side link is used to tilt the implement. Most often used for grading with all types of grading implements. It would be common to use a hydraulic side link with either a box blade and a rear blade for example. Works great for ditching, working on uneven surfaces creating a crown on a road or drive etc.

As far as people that do not have float position with their valve, there is no down side to having a DPOCV on the cylinders.

Another dumb question coming your way guys.
So the rear remotes are controlled by a lever beside the chair. Am incorrect in saying that if the lever is in the middle the cylinder will be mid stroke???? How does that work.

No, I don't think it will work that way Chris, if your remote control automatically centers it is in neutral, if you move it one direction it will either move the cylinder either in or out, depending on which hose you hooked to which remote. If you move it the other way from center it will move the cylinder the other direction either in or out, again depending on how you connected the hoses. Centered it does not move. This is not like the position control on your 3pt. where when you move the position of your 3pt lever your 3pt hitch moves to a corosponding location. It has a feedback mechanism that keeps them in sync.. (more or less)

Yes. :thumbsup: It is very common with top links and side links that the hydraulics will move very quick, no very FAST. :shocked: Yes you can feather the control valve by juuuuuuuuuuust touching the lever. Some people are very good at this, others not so much. The not so much happens to be the majority of us.

It is very hard to get the cylinder adjustment needed-wanted-required when the cylinders that you are adjusting are smaller diameter cylinders as most of the top and tilt cylinders are. Doesn't seem to be quite as touchy with a top link, but with the side link you have the full force of gravity plus the quickness of the hydraulic that can make minute adjustments very difficult.

You can always add the flow restrictor, go ahead and try it without anything to start with and you can go from there.
