See attached pic. I was looking for somewhere to mount work light brackets, and this seems like a convenient place if I can get a stubby bolt. I am guessing it may be intended for a bolt to snug up the ROPS to prevent rattles, but really have no idea. Any thoughts? And does anyone know offhand what the thread size/pitch is? I haven't yet tried fitting bolts in there, but if it's metric I wouldn't have one anyhow. Thanks!

This is used as a stabilizer bolt for the ROPs. On my B3200, without this bolt, the top 1/2 of the ROPs shakes as there is a little play in the hinged area. This bolt tightens that right up.

Sounds like killing two birds with one stone. One bolt to mount a set of work lights and eliminate free play in the top of the rops at the same time.:D:D

It is metric, and I think this is what it is 10-1.25 mm

But it has been a while so I cannot be sure.

It is true you could use it for that. Personally, I like my lights higher up as they have a wider dispersion.

You don't necessarily need a 'stubby' bolt. You can use a long bolt, and just add nuts to hold the brackets and keep bolt tight to the welded nut.

On mine it is a Metric M10 1.25 pitch.
