X700 Series Hydraulic Lock Out Valve AM134625 Installation

There was a post on another website about the lockout valve rubbing on a hydraulic line to either the hydraulic motors on the full time 4 wheel drive tractors or the power steering lines. I don't remember which line it was but the poster said the lockout valve eventually rubbed a hole in the line. He recommends that we all check and install something to isolate the valve from the hose. I am going to check my X748 today.

A small scrap of the black foam pipe insulation should solve the chafing issue and is dirt cheap. Any plumber you see should be able to give you a 6" length of it for nothing.

I just got a used 2006 x700. Does this valve need to be installed to run a snow blade? I just bought the couplers from the dealer to install.

any input/advice would be apprecitated.

Yes you do. Otherwise the blade will not stay in position and will respond very slowly.

I bought mine from aux-hyd.com. Quarter Turn Not 6 Turns.

I had a 455 & X475. I did not install the lockout valve on either one. I just locked the mower lift arms up. Everything worked fine without it.

Any problems with the fit, finish, or function? I would much rather the 1/4 turn over the 6 turns, not to mention the $50 in savings. Thanks for the info.
