The UpLula magazine loader really is a time-saver and saves your thumbs. I sure like mine.

I looked at a Desert Eagle at a gun store. WOW.
By the Way naming the 9mm Baby Eagle may be one of the biggest marketing fails I have seen. They could have called it a desert hawk or anything else but baby eagle?

I got one of the original Beretta 92F just before my son went into the Army back in the 80's so he could practice with it. I didn't really want one, but ended up liking it and put a gazillion rounds through it. My son has it now, so I recently got a 92F Elite; little thicker slide and minor changes.

I got use to the transition from double action to single action. I really like the Blackhawk Serpa and really like the Uplula mag loader.

I've got an older 92f too. Came with factory wood grips, all the labels and packaging and everything in Italian. Only has a few hundred rounds through it. Only way I can describe it is if you mated a ferrari and the hottest, sleekest italian woman you ever saw and they birthed a pistol, it would be a 92.

Sounds like you have a winner and a little earlier model than mine. Mine was a (92SB-F) which is the M9 with plastic grips. I believe later production was made in the US, but mine was before they got up and running.

I have Glocks, Sigs, Colts, but the Beretta remains one of my favorites; course I like them all.

Congrats! I have a glock 23 .40, a remington stainless .22, a RRA AR-15 carbine and a RRA .308 AR platform varmint with a 26" heavy barrel. I remember sharing your fun at each purchase. Keep up the good shooting and keep that baby clean!
PS, be carefull, Ive seen a guy lose a pinky in my local gun shop for calling a magazine a clip

Yep, the purists can be picky. I try to use the proper nomenclature and even had to sit through a class every year in which the nomenclature of the revolver and semi-automatic pistol were a component, but sometimes I am sure I refer to a magazine as a clip, revolver as a pistol, bullet as cartridge and so on.

NICE piece!
I had a 92S rom the mid 70's, sold it a couple of years ago.
And yes I do regret selling it. The 92 IMHO is the most reliable full sised auto in its class. A good choice:thumbsup:

Very nice handgun!!
No doubt, you'll get years of use out of it. Beretta, BTW, is the oldest firearms manufacturer in the world. They started making guns in the 1400's, IIRC.
Your gun was probably manufactured in southern Maryland.

Also, I suggest you stick with the factory magazines. Many feeding problems stem from the use of aftermarket magazines.

As far as a holster, you need to determine how you want to carry first. That Beretta is a fair sized weapon so you'll need a good holster and a good belt. Guns are heavy and they need the support. I use a belt from Gun Belts by The Belt Man.
Do you want to carry IWB (Inside the Waistband) or OWB (Outside The Waistband)? Frankly, I find IWB very uncomfortable and hard to reholster the gun...so it's OWB all the way for me.
As far as material, synthetics (such as Kydex) are cheaper, but I prefer leather with a retention strap. Just like shoes, leather holsters require a break-in period. My holsters are Galco and Mitch Rosen, but there are a lot of good quality holsters available, so look around.
One brand I suggest staying away from is Uncle Mikes. Poor quality and poor retention (but they are cheap).

Enjoy your gun...read the manual thoroughly!

Good points on the use of OEM magazines with one caveat, Mec-Gar makes excellent magazines and I am pretty sure they have made OEM for both Beretta and Sig. It is the only aftermarket magazine for those guns that I trust.

I used Bianchi and Galco for years, but now use Blade-Tech and Blackhawk as they fit perfectly from day one and don't stretch out with prolonged use. I was late to the party and had to be convinced before switching; use to hate "plastic guns" too.

Not all holsters are the same and I stay away from the thin, cheap models. We had to literally force our department to let us get away from leather and now the kydex are what most are using.

YMMV as always.
