Price Check I think I shall be saying good bye to my 6420 soon.

Keeping my front weights from my 6420 so I have something to keep from my good ol' toy. I wont be using any more than 2 sets of SCVs for sure. I'm no guy that uses 4 sets of SCVs. Its Raising and lowering a disk, ripper and rotating the plow. Going to add a beacon possibly too. I think I wont be getting any rear weights tractor weighs plenty from those big rims :)

Those extra SCV's (even 1 more) can make for a better trade or resale down the road. How about mid-mount and joystick? I know you don't use a loader on your tractor's much - but the next guy will likely jump alot higher if he can use it for a good loader tractor!

I finally figured out my front fenders... after readjusting them; they work as advertised! Don't have mud on my lower cab glass!

You pull a 5x16" bottom? Maybe a 4 in that thick black stuff - you've got!!

How about the "cold weather package"? (Maybe you leave it in the machine shed all winter..) Extra lights? Fuel tank skid plates? Grill guard? Radio? (Maybe that's standard on the Premium..)

Looks like you're hoping for $45K for your tractor? How many hours you have on it?

Waitin' on the word.. from your dealer! :D

For our 6420

2000 hours, 16/16 PowrQuad + Creeper ;), 4WD, Trying for 55K! ++

Canadian dealers give more in resale but when you buy new its a bit more pricey. Leaving a few options on because when it comes time for bargaining you know when those options need to kick in.

I want to try to set up this tractor with dual beacons. I want this tractor to look mean as possible. I want to see my neighbors face when he sees it. I also just sent an email to my dealer about the beacons, adding rear extensions and the skid plate for fuel tank.
Don't think we need a bigger plow. 3 furrows good. 6420 has a bit of problems pulling it LOL. Things a weak piece of Poop.

Edward. S,

You listen to ol' AK, he knows just how to get a fella whipped into a buying frenzy. He has gotten me to load up my little 5085M with all manner of icing. :)

Seriously though, AK makes some good points that I tend to agree with. It definitely has some value to think about all of your own uses of a machine, as well as how it will be perceived at that time well into the future when you may want to trade or sell it.

By the way AK, not too long ago one of the few accessories that you were going to let me get away with not putting on my tractor was the front loader mounted fenders; it would appear that you may have had a change of heart?

You know... I've been scratching my head - lookin' at those fenders and trying to figure out how to keep the front tires from rubbing everytime I turn!

I found a smaller locking pin to use the other adjustment holes. Duh... Now the only time the tires catch the fender is at the very end of the steering travel and if I just back off an inch - no problem.

Leaving 'em on all the time, now.

They're an easy install! You could get them through Part's if you didn't put them on your purchase agreement (like I'm doing with the mirrors..) if you change your mind later.

Alright, I'll listen to you guys! But I am not getting front fenders. If I get stuck in the field they bend and then they break! But I will try to get my self an extra hydraulic port! You guys definitely need mirrors.

OK... I gotta ask, Edward.. Since you don't use the 6000 series for "row crop" work - just field prep work - why don't you have duals?

Thanks.

Duals stick out way too much and then if I do, I have to purchase hubs all sorts of stuff! I'd rather go for wide radials and the snap on duals look a bit strange :confused2:
