Edward, just make sure your dealer is working in the special offers that Deere has going on right now for the 6030 Series. Here is the special offer off of their web site.

0.0% on John Deere 6 Series Utility Tractors (6030 Series)

Looks like a great build on your tractor, you should really like it.

Yup! I know that there is 0% for 3 years! Thanks for telling me!

Great! Also ask your dealer about a multi-unit discount. It may not apply in your case, but when we bought a compact utility tractor & a gator, there was an extra discount on one of the units. You could apply it to either one. In our case it was a $1,000 off of the tractor.

As far as the Gator goes as well, get the XUV 855D. I have the diesel HPX, and don't get me wrong, great machines, I bought it when they first came out, so no XUV yet, today, I'd go with the XUV. XUV and HPX spec out exactly the same except the XUV is faster and has a little more HP. My HPX sure has been a great machine - be sure to get the hydraulic dump though!

I wouldn't be putting anything much in the bed other than a few boxes for some vegetables in the field and I will be making my own 4x8 Trailer.

I'll try to get a multi-unit discount then! Hope that discount goes through!

If you can get away with it then it will work, but for me I usually haul around horse crap and to push that button is nice. If your going to be hauling anything at all it is worth it. And its better for resale.

Yee Haa!! Congrats, Edward!

So.... did the salesguy drive your 6420 off the farm? Don't 'spose they'd let you keep using it until your new one shows up? Of course, you still have the 6715 for the heavy dirt work, too.

Well yes, but I only want to pay 40 - 42k for the new tractor with the trade. So I let them take it off my lot a bit early so I can get this price. And its the off season so I can get the price I can sell it for! :)

Congrats!

Did you get a gator as well or are you holding off for another day?
