Ordered after about 10 hours of research on the net, rigid industries dual LED flood lamps, bullet tested and hard as nails from what i have read. They look to be very high quality and will report after install with pics if there is any interest.

Deere does sell pretty nice rear work light for your 3005. It mounts into a hole on your fender.
I haven't been too impressed with LED lighting other then as a lantern. That doesn't mean those lights you got won't be great though. You'll be the guy who finds out and reports back.
Which lamps did you get?

There is a pigtail under the operator's seat for that work light I mentioned. This energizes when the lamp switch is turned to the appropriate position. That might be a good place to run your wiring.

Hopefully, Good!!

While you're waiting, take a look for that pigtail (use a test light to determine when it's energized). If you decide to connect to that, you'll probably have to find a mating connector (Deere might be a good place to start) and the wiring you'll need.

You got two? You'll need a "Y" fitting or make one up.

Where do you intend to mount these lamps?

I like the idea of LED's, and i love my Whelen led emergency light. But i am also still on the bench over the hype of lamp life.

I especially get concerned when the samples that they have running at the wholesale houses and the box stores have burnt out lamps.

Going to put them on the back, two holes already there for lights.

I agree. But most of those are Chinese and poor quality.

I like LED for brake lights, and strobe type emergency lights. They catch your eye. But as far as illuminating a big area, I'm going to stick with the older kind. Also most of the work I do is when it is snowing out. I need something that is going to get warm to keep the snow off the lights. Led's hardly have any heat.

Looks like they are rated at 2600 lumens each. That is 1.5 to 2 times brighter than a halogen headlight. I'm pretty sure one would be plenty for lighting the work area behind you. Having said that, I sure would like to see two of them pointing forward!

Actually, the RAB led i used is USA made. $300 light. One of the 4 lamps failed
