I am interested in them for there low amperage. If they perform as well as the reviews I have read, then I will get a second pair for forward work. The factory headlights are great but some up high would be nice.

Looks like they are rated at 2600 lumens each. That is 1.5 to 2 times brighter than a halogen headlight. I'm pretty sure one would be plenty for lighting the work area behind you. Having said that, I sure would like to see two of them pointing forward!

you best check how their rating their lumens. All lighting manufacturers rate them differently as to how far from the fixture their measuring.

Thats one of the biggest contentions with LED's right now.

I use an actual light meter to test mine, and thay will show you apples to apples.

We did some parking lot lights using LEDs and checked their rated lumen s to the actual seen at the ground.....not good. The old MH lights were tested at working distance,. The new ones were tested 5 feet from fixture. not good on 24' light fixture.

I also went to a job where all the canopy lights in a gas station were swapped out for LED and all the store's florescent strips went to leds...

BIG PROBLEM. We had to add spot lighting in the canopy so people could see the pumps (incandescence spots) and the store is a dim bulb at best.

id like to see a night shot with side by side comparisons of these two.

The only comment I can make about led lights is my wife purchased a surefire flashlight for me on my birthday, it's the brightest flashlight for its size I have ever seen, two lithium batteries and blinding bright. Very small and much brighter than my 4 cell mag light.

Yes, but i would SO love a set of 4 HID lights in replacement of my halogen

their 35 watts and 6x brighter

but man are they spendy

i have a rechargeable HID spotlight thats 22,000,000 candlepower

its the brightest flashlight ive ever seen. 1-1/2 hr per charge. I can light up treetops 1200 feet away.

Going to put them on the back, two holes already there for lights.

In the fenders (just outboard the flasher/turn signals)?
That's where the stock Deere worklights are mounted.

That area is a bit tight to work in, if the rear wheels are mounted. But it can be done unless you have HUGE hands.

No problem, only 5' 4" 145 lbs. but it's a big advantage when flying rotorcraft.

heres a video showing what a 3,500 LUMEN light really looks like. They measure their output as to what hits the ground. Most LED's measure the lumen output AT THE REFLECTOR.
