I tried searching for the answer to my question but haven't found an easy DYI solution.

My goal is to find an adapter or a relativity easy build to attach a Meyers plow to my Mahindra 3215 quick attach FEL. I got the plow for free and would like to attach it for hopefully low cost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Use the search function to provide many plow builds like you are planning. Key words are FEL Plow, Snow Plow, Meyer Plow.

I recently had an adaptor made at a welding shop to attach my Meyer plow to my JD loader. You will not find a ready-made "bracket" like you are looking for.....but getting something fabricated is not too difficult if you have the skills or know of a good welding shop.

Good luck.

These guys make one, you could get an inexpensive quick attach plate on ebay and use this one as inspiration to build your own.

Are you talking skid steer style quick attach? If so, it is a fairly easy build. SSQA plate to start with, and then weld on two sets of ears for the a-frame to pin on, and a bracket at the top center to attach the chain to. I have done two like this for skid steer plows, and they work great.

Thanks for the quick replies. As much as I would love to have a finished product, I am trying to do this on the cheap. Looking at the building off the SSQA plate idea.

Thanks again!

Hi bharrisii - I have been looking to do something similar with my non-FEL tractor, where I would use a truck plow, one with the electric motor mounted to the pump right on the plow assembly. Then I could use the electric remote at the cab, no need for hydraulics, especially since the ol' Massey has none! I hope you can share your project (include photos!) as it comes together for you... and welcome to TBN!!

A comment on the small Meyers- check those angle irons where the plow trips. I just junked a 6' Meyers that I've had for about 5 or 6 years. Replaced it with a 7' Fisher. attached are pix of the set up I made. Note the messed up attachment to the frame. The attachment point was on the front of the frame and I relocated to the bottom. that shortened the overall length and also served to give a flat angle so that when you angle, you maintain contact for the full length of the blade.

There have been many posts on this subject so do a search

Just a thought. I have a QA on my loader. Some years ago I bought a quick attach Bobcat style plate, and welded a cheap 3pt quick attach to it. Now having a 3pt adapter I have used it with a york rake on the loader, to get trash out of gullies. I have also used it with a carryall as a man lift, and a pole boom for setting trusses.
Although I haven't gotten around to it I thought of hooking a snowplow up the same way with a chain (for float) to what would be the top link. I think the snowplow brackets were about the correct width.
I don't have a photo. I hope my explanation was clear enough.:2cents:
