Bep's still at it, Dami, watch so you know hoe to stay in the ladder runging:laughing:

tj, I am concerned now that Bep just may runaway as the single most best FLR title, I mean my palms are sweating, but until as you stated earlier in this thread, no proof, no victory.

PS. really glad to hear your Chad free there buddy. Sometimes it can be painful, it just depends on what strain you get:laughing:

Any real red neck knows that if that don't work, taint worth doing.

Now there Crash, that would give him an unfair advantage. :D

Hi John,
I know, no safety police. Just didn't want to see the OP try something stupid.

Mythbusters used a 50 Cal automatic machine gun to cut a large tree trunk in two...another tool you could get for later use:thumbsup:

Just for ***** and giggles a few weeks back I used my 12g and put 3 slugs in an old dead oak limb about 25' overhead. 3-4 weeks later the limb fell. I think it was more coincidence than shot placement.

Reason they used the 50 Cal was they tried numerous other calibers to no avail, single shots. And they simply kept shooting lots of rounds until it was simply chipped apart.

The Dillon Minigun they used was a 308. And their is a technique to shooting a tree down and they weren't using it. You have to start on one side and work your way through just like your using a saw. Each time you want to shoot about a 1/4" in to where the bullet blows out the splinters on the out side. They were just shooting stright at the trunk and hoping for the best.

We used to have a pistol man-on-man shootoff in some of our USPSA matches called a "rattle battle" where each shooter is facing downrange side by side and each has a 4x4 post to shoot in two. It usually takes 30 to 40 rounds of .45acp semi-wadcutters to shoot the 4x4 in two. First post to fall is the winner. There is technique involved, accuracy to maintain your cut line, and speed of fire and reloads.
