Anyone use/make their own for the yellow decks on the X7xx series tractors. I see at the dealer its a roller but they want something like $250

Might be hard to make one cheaper than that.
Getting one to fit up behind the deck is the problem, as well as something that won't fold up when going in reverse.

Just going by what my JD dealer told me last year when I bought my JD X740,he said not to buy a stripper if you have a rough areas to mow with.He said they would not last and would tend to bend.Don,t know if its true or not just did not buy one.coobie

I think for a zero turn mower they are using a brush vs a roller. It may not take much to make one to fit if you really want one

From what I've seen, the brush picks up grass and rolls it into wads. Is that the experience of anyone else? Maybe not if grass is mowed every day or every other day.
