You may want to check with the dealers but I think when a price increase happens it's on new tractors going to the dealers. The ones they already have on the lot can still be sold at the lower price.

As a point of reference I paid just under $24,700 for my L5740 with La854 FEl in Sept 2011. R4's no rear valves.

WOW! That's $10k lower than anything I have even come close to getting a quote for. Was is a demo or did you trade something?

How did you get that price, it's also about 8-10k lower than i've been quoted from anywhere on a 5240.

my L5740 is brand new had .9 hrs and got 0% for 60months and had been on the lot for awhile its a -1 version still cant find difference other than the pto lever vs knob to a -3 No loader.
It was delivered to the dealer Dec2008 and they sent it to some shows. I was told it was 25k I came back with 20k they somehow got assistance from kubota and accepted my offer. i negioated a cash price for the loader of $4650 with me installing it. I was shocked....total was $24650.00 plus $12.00 doc fee

i did call Brady Barlow and found there are some "older new Stock" that can be found at various dealers. So call brady or local dealer and see if they can find any 52 or 57 40's that they are willing to deal on and make your own offer!!!

Always amazes me how much different they look without the FEL and grill guard.

If you drive your 5030 across your yard does it leave imprints with the R4 tires? Are your rears loaded? I really want to get R1's but don't want to tear my yard up, especially since for the time being it will be pulling a finish mower.
Thanks
