Well, I wont be getting my Gator 855D. But (like AKfish said they're is always a but.) I did talk to my salesman and he did give me a free beacon ($220) and a free stereo (~$300). I've been waiting for 9 days and it feels like a day is a week. :smiley_aafz:

If you're havin' trouble waitin' now... just wait until it starts gettin' warmer and longer days and a bit of willows poppin' out.. You'll be squirmin' in your chair at the breakfast table EVERY morning!! :D

You know; I was gonna ask, but decided not to - especially when you had those good things to say about your 6420..

But, anyway - why did you keep the 6715? It's an older tractor, yes? Probably got more hours. If I had to guess.. I'd guess it was the difference in trade-in dollars.

JD 6715 is a newer tractor with 1150 Hours on it I believe. I have a buddy down in NZ and I don't know whats his problem, but he never liked my 6420. Haha good things?

Well, its been 4 weeks.. And I guess AKFish was right, days do feel a bit longer. I'm not sure if I should trade one of my Massey 245s or get rid of the 6420. I still cant make up my mind. I guess I should talk to my salesman when he comes down to my place tomorrow. I also traded my John Deere 350 Manure Spreader for a New Holland 195 for $20,000. While my 350 is worth $5,900. Pretty good deal I would say. The new spreader is a whopping almost 2.5 times bigger. So the 6430 can pull it like a stick. :D, And the spreaders are not in Monopoly money sadly.

Low 30's here the past several days! Little breezy... false Spring - always gets me goin'! Saw some green grass and green leaves last week, too. :D 'Course that was in Arizona!!

So, if I understand correctly... you haven't settled on a trade-in tractor just yet?!? But, you've worked out a price on the new tractor and you're sittin' on the couch every morning waitin'... and waitin'.. keepin' a lookout for robins and green grass!

Dang... I could use a good manure spreader! How many bushel is the JD 350?

Spent 5 hours today cleanin' snow and horse manure from the corral. Big dump ~9 inches when we were in AZ. Cleaned out the chicken coop, too. Really bad case of Spring fever around this place! :D

Well I've been getting about a high of 10 Celsius on some days I think that's like in the low 50s.

Well I cant make up my mind, I have ordered the new tractor but I dont know what to give away or keep it.

The 350 is 180 Bushels around that I'm not really correct. Around that. Or about 4 shovels full of my tractors bucket.

If you want it you can buy it if you'd like. Its in pretty rough condition. New Holland is giving me 5,900 for it. If you can pay more than that I would give it to you. You just might have to haul it back to your house. I did the stress and cleaned it out for you already!

You know... land values are goin' up. And one more tractor will mean you'll have to buy more ground!

It's a bad cycle to get caught up in! Round and round.. :D

Nah, I think I'll have to pass on the spreader. I hate those "holy" ones - you know, 2 scoops in and 1 is already on the ground between the axles...

Well the manure doesn't leak out..

I am going to rent another 20 acres that adds up to about 100 acres of total land. I might get some more but this other piece requires lots of clean up.

If I rent that piece I have to go there with the ripper rip it up and down. Pick up all the tree branches under the soil, then plow it, disk it, spread manure and then disk again, then till it. :(

I'm sensing some weakness... don't want to use that brand new tractor on that heavy duty subsoil ripper..

Better to keep the 6420 a little bit longer.

'Course what is that 6715 doin' just sittin' there??

The field preparation work you're describing sounds like the perfect job for a Meri-Crusher! Works like a roto-tiller on Steroids! Munch, munch on those tree roots.

The 6420 can barely handle the ripper. The 6715 sits on the tiller, Still too lazy to buy quick hitches like you.. If I do get quick hitches their about 600 dollars a piece with tax. And I will need to get around 3 or 4. One for the 6715, 6430, 5200 for the sprayer and seeder. The 6715 and 6430 can easily hop on and off with the tiller or plow or any other attachments I got.

I have never heard of a Meri-Crusher, It sounds like its very expensive. The tree roots on the ugly property is about 20 acres as the guy told me, But I rather have a few clean up days than having something at full rpm going slowly to munch all that stuff all up.
