Only time will tell, but my guess is it'll go for years.
I'm sure we'll read of more folks buying Woods blowers over the next few years....then we'll know.
Not if I can help it!!

RoyJackson said:You can't really complain if you don't know you have a problem...you think you have a problem, but I'd guess you're not in manufacturing or fabrication work. I do work in the manufacturing industry (not implements and not for Woods), and I don't think you really have any concerns...just my opinion based upon a lot of years experience.
BTW, don't ever go in to an aircraft manufacturing plant...you'd never fly again.
Pretty sure that if I saw anything like that on a plane going out of my hangar I would not try to give some cover your butt statement. In aviation, customer service is everything and I go to the ends of the earth to make people happy....
I don't know if it will help or hurt your feelings toward your snowblower but with all the discussion in this thread I figured I would post a couple of videos of the chain drive on my Bervac 3 point snowblower. Mine is still brand new (I bought it last year).
IMHO I think your blower is going to be fine. No snow has been the problem. If you were busy blowing snow with it you wouldn't be so busy watching and worrying about the chain going roundy round.

You need to tighten your drive chain. the chain is not supposed slap up and down on the bottom of the chain loop
At this point, Leonz...he really needs to run it as Woods built it. It's either going to hold up fine, or it's going to fail (Messick's has extended his warranty).
Any tightening or any work would bias how this unit works out. I just hope arsenix2001 gets enough snow so he can see how well (good or bad) it functions...
Roy...
Unless I'm misreading, I believe Leonz is referring to the chain of the Bervac blower in JohninCT's post.
