8N, dad would hold the shovelplow behind.
My father just sold an"L". nice little tractor but at 77 it was a little hard for him to get on and off.I was 11 years old when Dad bought a 1940 John Deere L and I started driving it, but I had already been driving his oldest sister's 1947 Ford coupe for quite some time.
Had to stand on the clutch peddle and pull up on the steering wheel to get it to stop.
I was 6 years old when I first drove my Dad's 1958 861 Ford. We were hand picking corn, pulling a trailer and loading the corn in it. Since I was not much help picking my Dad showed me how to start and move the tractor forward when he told me to. He gave me that tractor about 5 years ago. I have been driving it for over 41 years now.
