Any Keurig coffee drinkers here?

I'm not a big coffee guy but the company is great. They sent free machines and several boxes of coffee to my unit while we were deployed. They were a huge hit and most of us were eager to get a cup before our mission briefs.

I work there and we take a huge amount of pride in the coffee we have sent to our troops overseas. Several hundred pallets by this point. The Keurig donations all go to the big bases and air stations where power is available. Smaller packets of pre-ground are hand-carried to forward operating bases by military chaplains on their rounds. The FOBs generally have power constraints so the troops brew cowboy coffee.

Now and then we get a photo of a soldier or Marine grinning ear to ear on some godforsaken mountain top in Afghanistan, holding a steaming mug of our coffee in his hands. Occasionally we get an American flag that was flown over an FOB. All these treasures are hung on the wall with pride.

Tell all your buddies thanks. It meant a lot to us for your donation. There were quite a few old warrants who wouldn't get into the aircraft without their cup of coffee. It's not a stretch to say your coffee machines were mission critical equipment. Thanks again!

Don't have one ...I would need to use 5-6 just to start my day. Too expensive!

Hiya,

We have one, we use it in the morning rushing out the door as it's easier to get 2 quick cups and scoot.

We also have that use your own coffee adaptor, that works OK. I like the Double black diamond extra dark roast and my other half likes french vanilla and hazelnut, whats nice is that my dark roast doesn't taste like flavored coffee anymore.

Big Cat coffee sells kcups that average out to just over 50 cents per cup so it's still less than stopping at DD or SB on the way in and paying 2 bucks plus for a cup.

This time of year I put maple sap straight from the tree into my perc coffee pot. Use that instead of water and you don't need sweetener.:licking:

That small thing would drive us nuts. We have a Bunn commercial that makes a 60 ounce pot in about 3 mins. And a Bunn commercial grinder that holds 9 pounds of beans that we blend. 2 pots every am between the wife and myself, and sometimes a 3rd.

I understand the need for the 1 cup machine, but it does not work for our coffee drinking habits.

WHOA!!! You guys are wired!! I used to do that, I was in my mid 30's, and I started getting BP problems. Cutting back on coffee dropped my BP about 10 points.
