All I know is this is the first year that I have not been able to go ice fishing since I started over 40 yeras ago. No ice. I took my rowboat out for my 50th birthday the second week of February! :(

Meanwhile, places in Europe are having one of the harshest winters on record.

MossRoad The reason you did not get ice this tear had more to do with the location of the jet stream than anything else. I have yet to see how the earth's temperature affects the jet stream location. As far as man's contribution to change in climate, I would really like to see non-man contributions quantified then man's contribution will be what's left. Most of the evidence that has been provided similar to patrick_g post making claims without providing enough information to back those claims.

The oil companies are banding together to get their Fracking practices exempt from reporting what they are putting into the ground, and possibly your ground water, they want Just the scientists to decide, not public opinion.

Some places are making it manditory to disclose the materials involved with Fracking.

The Smirk and the Sneer already gave them exemption from the Clean Water Act, so if any of whatever it is gets in the water, they don't have any liability under that federal law.

I lived in Alberta and know people that are living in areas with sour gas that, have an increase in birth defects, and miscarriages in both people and livestock. They do not want any scientific testing on that just cover-up.

And I'll agree with you on that!

Thickest parts of Arctic ice cap melting faster

Interesting read about thicker arctic ice melting faster than the thin stuff at the edges.

And this about your relatives. (I'm not from your planet, monkeyboy.)

Easy come easy go, what happens to SOCAL beaches as sea level rises?

If you could predict the outcome there would be big bucks to be made.

If I'm not mistaken, former vice President Dick Chaney got the regs changed where oil and gas could frack with no disclosure. One of the "beefs" I had with their Adm.

Moss, what is known that instead of fishing for ice you can make it in your fridge freezer. Oh, remember to put warm water in the ice cube trays for freezing!

I can't catch the big ones in the freezeer... only bait.
