Actually, I found the culprit for the alternator issue. I need to run my ground cable back to the block and I believe this will remedy it. We shall see.
You could save alot of cable and time by running a cable from the block to the frame, and leaving the rear ground cable hooked to the rear frame. I did this on mine, I also added one from the block to the body tub. I do not have a rear mounted battery, but started to see weird electrical gremlins pop up after adding electric fans, digital ignition box, electric gauges, electric fuel pump etc. The ground cables chased those gremlins away.
