I'll re-post this from LogDog's thread as my "entry":

"There are 28 - 6x6x8' Cedar logs in this bundle. They weigh between 85 and 105 lbs each. Since they were cut green and stored outside I would lean more towards 100lb ea. It didn't like it, but it lifted and curled it. I regularly lift around 2K with no problems and traded in a CK30 for the DK mostly for the extra loader capacity...it has not disappointed me in over 600 hrs.."

That's the most it's ever lifted, but not the most I ever attempted....dang relief valve stops me from being too schtoopid:laughing:

Nice lift, neatly stacked too:D

Not that heavy but very big. 1960 Hough Payloader still going strong.

I can play the not too heavy but big game, the KL130 has a little trouble competing in the weight game with the KL401 guys though.

That was a tank used to store hardening solution at a cement factory. It is 8 ft tall and 6ft in diameter. I buried it under the surface of my small creek/steem after it didn't start filling up again after a really dry summer last year and I started getting nervous. It's connected to a 7ft long, 24 inch culvert that I buried standing on it's end to act as a well. Originally I thought damming the creek would give me enough of a reservoir over top of the culvert so I could draw water out for my rink. The water did return right before winter hit, but I'm still glad I had the tank, a couple of times I think I drew enough water to use part of this "reserve". The rink is about 120 ft by 65 ft and currently has about 8 inches of ice on it. The rink sits in a low part of my property so I added about 400ft of drainage tile this summer with clear stone and ran it back to the creek so I don't end up with a swamp again this spring.

Hey kiotiken,
you say you cant quite play the heavy game with the bigger loaders but remember, its not the size of the hook, its how you wiggle the worm! and you caught a good sizer there. . . .IMO Bigger is almost always better. . .John

Alright then, I guess I'm a contender in the welterweight class. They say it's not the size that counts, but what you do with it, so here's what I did with it.

That is a pretty impressive project and a good idea to collect and store water. Is silt a problem?

I don't think so, but it may become an issue in the future. The 4" hose that connects to the culvert is raise a couple inches off the bottom, so that will help, plus there's really good suction from the pump, so a lot of it would probably flow into the culvert. I guess time will tell.
