I not agree w/ the 2-4% price increase, however don'rt agree w/ that being retro. on current inventory. Haven't ever heard of that happening.
As far as tractors going up 20%, I don't think anyone knows anything for sure. Yes the new emmision requirements can increase prices but that sounds a little high. We all just have to wait and see before drawing any conclusions.

Correction on typos: I do agree w/ the 2%-4 price increase, it happens every year to all of the manufacturers. Don't like it, but it happens.

as said the prices increase no matter what.to get over the price increases you have to have a good dealer to work with.if i wanting or going to buy something i squeeze the dealer as tight as i can on price an they know what ill do.

just spoke to my dealer today about the issues in this thread. yes, kubota went up a certain percent as of march 1 st, but only applies to new inventory, not to what was already on the lot.:thumbsup: this is good for me as i am looking at one of their b3300su tractors that has been there. as for the tier 4 emmisions comming, he said yes and will increase prices around 14% and is already showing up on the M series tractors soon. he hasn't heard if it is going to affect the L, B, or BX series yet. this new tier 4 stuff has me worried. the info i have found so far is very little, but if it what the new dump trucks at my work has went through with the regeneration systems and the particulate filters, i am sure there will be "bugs" to work out for the first year or so for every diesel engine company. both mack and international had a few bugs to work out on the very first trucks we got. guess it is under control for now. since kubota will most likely continue to carry parts for the pre tier 4 tractors, i think this might push my purchase to sooner rather then later. don't think i want to mess with being a guinie pig for the first wave of tier 4 tractors. what do you guys and gals all think?

Probably very little. I said probably. They go up about every year at this time per my memory.
Wow, probably deserves another thread, but did your dealer say what they were going to have to add to the tractor to increase the price 15-20%?? That's a lot of difference. Now is definitely the time to buy a new tractor. I would be interested in know what engineering the manufacturers have to do to meet these new emissions requirements, and why it costs so darn much

If someone recalls better than me, please correct me, but I believe there was a similar step increase in price (~15%) a few years back when the Tier 3 stuff came on line.
