I borrowed a friend's (that I met here on TBN) forks to move some equipment and a ton of bagged Bentonite clay for the pond. I moved the diesel generator and the hydraulic auger to pallets and put them up in the loft above the workbenches. The black thing, with the large pulley and two V belts,in the foreground of the last photos is the tail rotor gearbox.......waiting for a new motor.

Great job on the barn. We are soon going to be building ours.

I like your checker board door for one simple reason. You can see if it is open or closed. We have a shed and I painted lines in X's like a old barn door style for that simple fact. Kind of like a cheap security. If your neighbors know your not there, but the door is out of place then something is wrong.

Pretty simple you can see if it is open or not.

I have been quite busy. I got my helicopter tail rotor ceiling fan out of the old shop and installed it over my work benches. It is off of a Bell 206 BIII or a Bell Longranger. It fit both models. The gearbox is up above in the loft. I need a new motor for it and will try to get one from HF. A old washing machine motor ran it and it is not working now. I tried to find another used mashing machine motor, but now all the machines sitting around in the "parts" yards use electronics in the motors.

Now that has got to be the most unusual ceiling fan I'll ever see! Great conversation piece-makes me wonder what else you could use, but can't imagine anything that would top a tail roter. Thanks for showing us.

I also like the "X" trim on barns. It really sits them out.
Thanks.

GGB,
It came easy as I used to rebuild wrecked and wore out helicopters for Heliflight and Air Logistics. I really enjoyed rebuilding them and miss doing it. But Helicopters are nothing compared to airline benefits.;)
