Pallet forks. Worth the asking price?

If they are worn in the heel it also doesn't take very much wear to significantly reduce their capacity.

I would be thinking about weight. For a SS or forklift the weight of the forks really isn't an issue but for a CUT an extra couple of hundred pounds is a little more noticeable.

I understand what you are saying, but trust me a couple hundred pounds matters on all material handling equipment.

Sorry, I hope I didn't come across wrong. 1.5"x4" is a very common cross section for a pair of forks rated 5500# capacity. There are no standard .5" thick forks so I had a pretty good idea of what he actually had.

So a little more design and use of less, but hi strength, steel could yield a good payoff. Yet you dont see much employment of T1 steel and varying cross sections according to load points. Id be willing to pay more in many cases. Forks would be one.
